Wrexham picked up a point on the road on Sunday as Phil Parkinson oversaw a 0-0 draw away at Bolton Wanderers.
Wrexham opened the season with an enthralling 3-2 win over Wycombe Wanderers before losing 4-2 at Sheffield United in the Carabao Cup.
Phil Parkinson saw 11 goals in the first two games and may well have wanted to tighten things up at the back for the trip to Bolton.
Wrexham at least managed to keep a clean sheet in this one, frustrating the Trotters in a 0-0 draw.
Arthur Okonkwo was in great form for Wrexham as he made a string of fine saves to keep the hosts at bay.
A home win and an away draw to start the season is decent stuff for Wrexham, especially against two firmly established League One sides.

This was a much-anticipated encounter as Wrexham travelled to the Toughsheet Community Stadium.
All eyes are on Wrexham most of the time due to the presence of Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds.
Bolton missed out on promotion with a playoff final defeat last season and are looking to go one better this term.
This made Sunday’s clash a fascinating one and both sets of fans turned out in numbers.
The official attendance was set at just shy of 26,000 with around 3,700 of those representing Wrexham.

The only shame is that Wrexham didn’t find a goal for those supporters to celebrate wildly.
Even Bolton boss Ian Evatt was left impressed with the Wrexham support on Sunday as he spoke to The Bolton News after the final whistle.
Evatt suggested that Wrexham fans were ‘excellent’ and inspired Wrexham players to keep going until the very end.
Evatt felt that Wrexham ‘really celebrated’ the draw and didn’t really think Parkinson’s side caused Bolton too many problems.
“Wrexham ask you a lot of questions and score a lot of goals, but I don’t think they created a great deal. We coped with the long ball and set plays really well. They did their best to disrupt second half and we probably lacked that rhythm we showed in the first,” said Evatt.
“Credit to them, they stuck at it and really celebrated the draw so it shows where we are at. I thought their fans were excellent and gave them the energy to keep running and blocking,” he added.
Wrexham fans will be key this season
Wrexham to Bolton is around a 75-minute journey and some supporters will suggest that this is no great trip, especially on a Sunday.
Well, the fact of the matter is that Wrexham – a non-league side just 18 months ago – were backed by nearly 4,000 fans against Bolton.
This kind of following will be going up and down England this season, cheering on Parkinson and co throughout.
The buzz around the club certainly helps but Wrexham have die-hard fans who suffered for years in the National League.
These days out were a dream just a few years ago but Wrexham will be packing out League One away ends all season long.
The next away game is a trip to Peterborough United and you can be sure that Wrexham will be supported in numbers – even in a three-hour journey.
