Wrexham striker Paul Mullin has highlighted Jurgen Klopp’s inspiration after his celebration against Notts County.
Phil Parkinson brought Paul Mullin back into the starting lineup on Saturday having left him on the bench for the midweek trip to Sutton United.
Parkinson’s reasoning was that Mullin needed a rest and, sure enough, he was straight back into the side against Notts County.
Mullin couldn’t add to his goal tally but saw strike partner Steven Fletcher fire home the only goal of the game.
Wrexham had to battle as Notts County dominated possession but just couldn’t break through.
That’s two wins in a few days and Mullin let his feelings be known at the final whistle…

Mullin headed towards the Wrexham fans and offered three fist pumps as supporters chanted in unison.
We are used to seeing this kind of celebration from Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp when he walks towards The Kop at Anfield.
Mullin – a lifelong Liverpool fan – has brought the celebration to Wrexham and credited the German as his inspiration.
Mullin has taken to Instagram to state ‘good win yesterday’ as well as saying that the celebration was ‘the best thing Jurgen gave me’.
We saw this celebration after the FA Cup win over Shrewsbury Town and we can certainly imagine a few more fist pumps from Mullin before the season ends.
Mullin may be dreaming of an incredible celebration this summer with Wrexham going for promotion and Liverpool aiming for the Premier League title in Klopp’s final months in charge.
Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney may well join in with that kind of celebration if Wrexham can get over the line, no doubt hoping to pull off the fist pump alongside Mullin in a few months.
