Wrexham are back in action once again tonight, as they face Crewe Alexandra in the EFL Trophy.
The Red Dragons will be looking to make it two wins from two in this competition. Phil Parkinson‘s side won their first fixture 1-0 against Newcastle United’s Academy.
Now an arguably harsher test faces them, with a midweek trip to Crewe on the cards in what will be their third game in just seven days.
With the games coming thick and fast – we’re likely going to see some rotation in the Wrexham side tonight.

Phil Parkinson confirms a ‘lot of changes’ for the EFL cup fixture
As per The Leader, Parkinson spoke to the press and confirmed Wrexham will be altering their initial starting XI tonight.
“We will rest a few players and give players much-needed minutes at Crewe,” said Parkinson.
“It was a hard week for us. We played 11 v 10 for a long period against Crewe and were immense, it was a really hard game at Mansfield and the same again against Crawley.
“I will make a lot of changes but we have got plenty of options.”
Who will feature?
It looks like James McClean will feature. His recent international retirement will be extremely beneficial for the Red Dragons.
He’ll likely replace Jacob Mendy who got injured at the weekend. Anthony Forde also won’t feature with a thigh strain.
Parkinson elaborated on these changes at the conference:
“We need to patch a few people up and make sure they are ready for the weekend,” he began.
“But equally we want to go to Crewe and give people minutes and put in another good performance,” added Parkinson.
“Jacob (Mendy) came off injured at Crawley but thankfully James (McClean) is available now because we would be struggling there for options.
“(Anthony) Fordey has had a thigh strain. It was a great opportunity for him to come in with (Ryan) Barney being out.”
We’re confident no matter the squad. Come on Wrexham!
