Wrexham have moved another step closer to clinching promotion to League One after beating Crawley Town 4-1 at the STōK Cae Ras on Tuesday night.
Phil Parkinson was seeking another victory after seeing his side come from behind to beat Colchester United 2-1 on Saturday afternoon.
Wrexham are one of the very best home teams in League Two and we saw that play out on Tuesday night.
Ryan Barnett opened the scoring with his first goal for the club before Paul Mullin made it 2-0 just moments later.
Andy Cannon added a third with 15 minutes to play before Mullin added his second and Wrexham’s fourth, wrapping up a comfortable victory.
Klaidi Lolos pulled one back for Crawley in injury time but the damage was done with Wrexham moving another step closer to promotion.
Wrexham need five points from the last three games to secure promotion but four may do it thanks to the advantageous goal difference over MK Dons.
Harry Maguire watches Wrexham
We have become used to seeing famous faces in the crowd at the STōK Cae Ras, from Paul Rudd to Will Ferrell.
The arrival of Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds has turned Wrexham into the ‘Hollywood club’ but Harry Maguire probably doesn’t fall into that category.
The Manchester United defender was spotted at the STōK Cae Ras on Tuesday night with Nathan Salt – the co-host of the Rob Ryan Red podcast – noting his attendance.
The reason given was that Maguire was there to watch his brother Laurence, who was in action for Crawley.
Crawley defender Maguire is currently on loan from Chesterfield and had a rough night as he attempted to stop Mullin in front of goal.

Wrexham ace is friends with Maguire
There may have been another reason though as Maguire is friends with one Wrexham player.
Substitute Callum McFadzean came up in the Sheffield United youth ranks alongside Maguire and the pair featured in the Blades first team together.
Callum’s brother Kyle – currently with Blackburn Rovers – admitted in 2019 that Maguire and Wrexham left wing back McFadzean are close friends from their time at Bramall Lane.
Maguire may well have felt that seeing his friend’s team in action against his brother’s was the perfect opportunity to go and take in another game.
The journey to Wrexham isn’t a particularly gruelling one and Maguire will surely have been impressed with the performance as McFadzean and co move closer and closer to promotion.
