While Phil Parkinson’s men were unable to get all three points in their last game, a draw against Birmingham City keeps Wrexham in the title race.
Next up, the Red Dragons have to show their ruthless edge and put Stevenage to the sword in order to keep the pressure up at the top.
We think we know who will make the Wrexham lineup versus Stevenage, and now we can dive into who will be the referee for the game, including what happened the last time he officiated for Wrexham.

Thomas Kirk will referee Wrexham vs Stevenage
As per the latest from the EFL, it has been confirmed that Thomas Kirk will be the man in the middle for the Wrexham vs Stevenage game.
Joining him at the Racecourse Ground will be assistant referees Grant Taylor and Abbas Khan. Dale Baines will be the fourth official on the night.
Thomas Kirk’s referee record
Kirk has taken charge of 17 games so far this season, eight of which have been in League One. A further four have come in League Two, with three in the Championship, and a couple of Carabao Cup games.
One thing’s for sure, Kirk is not a man afraid to show a yellow card. He’s handed out a whopping 84 bookings across his 17 games, with an average of almost five per game.
| Statistics | Thomas Kirk (2024/25) |
|---|---|
| Games | 17 |
| Yellow cards | 84 |
| Yellow cards per game | 4.94 |
| Red cards | 1 |
| Penalties | 3 |
| Fouls per game | 23.82 |
| Fouls per tackle | 0.78 |
He has only shown one red card so far, though, which came as a result of two bookable offences for Port Vale’s Rekeem Harper back in November.
Interestingly, Kirk has given three penalties this season, one of which was in Stevenage’s favour. It came during their 1-0 win over Shrewsbury back in August, but Dan Kemp missed the spot-kick.

Wrexham lost to Stockport County last time Thomas Kirk was involved
Wrexham will be hoping for better luck this time around than the last time they had Thomas Kirk in charge of one of their games.
The Red Dragons lost 1-0 to Stockport County in an away game in November of last year, with Louie Barry scoring the winner after 24 minutes.
On that day, Andy Cannon, Elliot Lee, and Ollie Rathbone were all shown yellow cards. To be fair to Kirk, it was a fairly well-mannered match by all standards.
