Wrexham fans have hailed the performance of George Dobson following the Championship clash against Derby County.

Wrexham welcomed Derby County to the Racecourse on Saturday afternoon, looking to build on their recent run of momentum.

In their last Championship outing, Wrexham beat Norwich City 3-2 before then beating Reading in the Carabao Cup in midweek.

But John Eustace’s Derby County proved as stubborn as expected, putting up a very good fight in North Wales and making it a very difficult afternoon for Phil Parkinson’s side.

Wrexham looked like the better team on the whole on Saturday, and they eventually took a deserved lead with Lewis O’Brien heading home his second Championship goal of the season midway through the first half.

Parkinson’s side kept up the pressure, but were soon undone by a stunning Ben Brereton Diaz goal in the 72nd minute, which eventually saw the game end 1-1.

“Dobson growing into this league,” said one Wrexham supporter online. “Swear Dobson has been one of our best players this season,” added another.
