Wrexham booked their place in the quarter final of the EFL Trophy with a thumping 4-1 victory over Port Vale.
A mistake from Sebastian Revan early on allowed the home side to take the lead before Andy Cannon equalised before half time.
Wrexham took control in the second half with Elliot Lee on the scoresheet again and Modou Faal also impressed fans against Port Vale, rounding off a promising performance with a goal.
There was also a moment for 18-year-old Harry Ashfield, a graduate of the Wrexham academy, to remember and cherish as he scored his first professional goal for the Red Dragons.

Ashfield scored to make the game 2-1 to Wrexham just after half time with a composed finish following excellent play by Ryan Longman on the wing to set him up.
Wrexham fans took to X during and after the game to express their delight at an academy graduate making his mark in the first team, one fan wrote: “Great goal and celebration, so happy for Harry, he’s one of our own.”
Another fan highlighted the striker’s all round performance in the game, they stated: “Well done Harry a great all round performance, keep up the good work mate.”
There were even some jovial comments regarding Ashfield’s goal celebration as he passionately showed his love for the club with the fans, one fan wrote: “Proper goal and proper celebration, love it Harry.”
Wrexham goal and performance will mean a lot to Ashfield
The goal and performance will have meant a lot to Ashfield as he looks to break his way into Phil Parkinson’s future plans.
The youngster is a life-long Wrexham fan and has spoken in the past about how passionate he is about the club and dreams of making his mark in the first team squad.
The EFL Trophy continues to be a chance for Ashfield to shine and develop his game in the first team and Wrexham now have another opportunity for the youngster to grow against Bolton in the quarter final at the Racecourse Ground.
Win that and the Red Dragons will be one game away from a trip to Wembley. What better place to put your name in Wrexham history.
