Wrexham will bring a rather brief stay in League One to an end against Lincoln City this weekend, having secured another promotion.
Wrexham beat Charlton Athletic 3-0 on Saturday afternoon, securing a place in the Championship for next season.
Phil Parkinson has now masterminded back-to-back-to-back promotions, firing Wrexham through the leagues in rapid fashion.
Wrexham didn’t hang around in League Two and took a similar approach to League One.
This dream run under Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds just shows no sign of slowing down, though the Championship will be another huge test.
Wrexham are expected to splash the cash this summer, with McElhenney and Reynolds potentially sensing a chance for more success.

American pundit on Rob McElhenney
McElhenney’s mentality was on show almost as soon as Wrexham had won promotion.
Asked for a reaction to Wrexham’s latest success story, McElhenney offered just three words – ‘not done yet’.
McElhenney clearly believes that Wrexham can take further steps forward, showing no fear heading into the Championship.
Former Premier League goalkeeper Kasey Keller has now admitted that he always asks McElhenney one question every pre-season.
Keller told ESPN that he has been covering Wrexham during pre-season trips to the United States, and he chats to McElhenney at those games.
Keller always asks McElhenney to explain his Plan B at Wrexham – but Plan A keeps working so well.
The former goalkeeper admitted that he wants to ask McElhenney the same question once again this summer, but branded Wrexham’s third straight promotion ‘tremendous’.
“I’ve covered Wrexham a couple of summers in a row now, with their pre-season stuff for ESPN,” said Keller.
“I’ve spoken to McElhenney twice, and I said ‘what’s Plan B because we haven’t had to see it yet?’
“The next summer, we laughed because I had to ask him exactly the same question because Plan A keeps working! And if I do talk to him again this next summer, I have to ask him the exact same question – ‘what’s Plan B?’ – because Plan A has just continued to work and three consecutive promotions is tremendous,” he added.
We often hear managers talking about not having a Plan B, they just want to do Plan A better.
In Wrexham’s case, Plan A has been working pretty incredibly.
Not only have Wrexham managed to string together three seasons of exceptional results on the pitch, but the club has grown enormously off the pitch.
Commercial income is through the roof at Wrexham, with McElhenney and Reynolds using ‘Welcome to Wrexham’ as a vehicle to maximise sponsorship income.
That plan has worked perfectly with their name value attached, and the current model is one Wrexham will continue for the foreseeable future, especially as interest in the club grows and grows.
Wrexham seemingly heading to Australia, not the United States
Wrexham’s trips to the United States have been brilliant in the last couple of summers, playing some brilliant games against top opposition such as Chelsea and Manchester United.
Keller would love to speak to McElhenney again this summer, but Wrexham seemingly won’t be heading Stateside this time.
Wrexham are instead heading to Australia this pre-season, and already have a game against Melbourne Victory lined up.
Wrexham then head to Sydney and Perth, before going over to Auckland in New Zealand.
Having cracked the US market, Wrexham are now looking to generate more interest Down Under – and this summer’s plans may well do the trick.
