Wrexham are looking to hit back this weekend as Steven Schumacher’s Bolton Wanderers visit the STōK Cae Ras on Saturday afternoon.
League One become the main focus for Wrexham once again after Wednesday’s EFL Trophy disaster at the hands of Peterborough United.
Wrexham were 2-0 up with 20 minutes to play but contrived to concede twice – and then lose on penalties.
The prospect of Wrexham playing in a Wembley final has now gone, but that is actually something Phil Parkinson wants to avoid now.
Wrexham want automatic promotion to League One and avoiding the play-offs is now the goal for Parkinson and co.
Wrexham beat Mansfield Town away from home last week but must now bounce back from that Peterborough defeat with a performance against Bolton Wanderers.

Steven Schumacher on Wrexham danger
Wrexham need a pick-me-up after squandering the chance to play a Wembley final, but also need to arrest a slide at home.
We have been so used to home form being the backbone to success under Parkinson.
Results have been tricky of late though with Wrexham losing two home League One games in a row and then throwing the lead away against Peterborough.
Wrexham did win a home game earlier this month though, as Parkinson beat this weekend’s opponents Bolton Wanderers in the EFL Trophy.
Parkinson really needs a repeat of that victory and Bolton boss Steven Schumacher is warning his players about one aspect of Wrexham’s play.
Speaking on Bolton’s official YouTube channel, Schumacher suggested that Wrexham are so dangerous on crosses and Bolton need to stand up to the physical battle.
Ryan Barnett has been brilliant this season with his crossing ability from the right flank causing no end of problems.
Schumacher has no doubt seen that from afar and wants Bolton to try and stop the attack from the flanks this weekend.
“The team sheets will probably look a lot different from the Trophy game but we know what to expect, we know it’s going to be a physical game,” said Schumacher.
“It’s one where we’re going to have to compete and try to stop crosses where we can because they’re really dangerous from them areas and be on it when we have the ball,” he added.
Bolton Wanderers cannot be taken lightly
Many Bolton fans wanted Ian Evatt out for a while and the axe fell in January, with the Trotters moving to land Schumacher as his replacement.
Bolton were ninth at the time of Evatt’s departure but just three points off the play-off places in League One.
Schumacher now has three league wins in a row as Bolton boss, meaning they are now level on points with sixth-placed Leyton Orient.
Last year’s League One play-off final losers are now looking to secure a top six finish and are a major threat to give Wrexham another dose of pain at home.
Parkinson will be well aware of the threat Bolton possess but after Wednesday’s testing defeat, Wrexham really need to turn up with a strong performance.
