Wrexham are back in action on Tuesday night as the mini-rivalry with Sheffield United is rekindled once again, this time in the Carabao Cup.
Phil Parkinson saw his Wrexham side start the League One season in strong fashion on Saturday evening.
Wrexham beat Wycombe Wanderers 3-2 at the STōK Cae Ras with Jack Marriott scoring an early goal of the season contender.
The attention turns away from League One this evening though as Wrexham take on Sheffield United in the Carabao Cup.
The Blades enjoyed a fine start to the season themselves, beating Preston North End 2-0 at Deepdale.
This promises to be a major test for Wrexham as Parkinson takes his squad over to Bramall Lane.

Wrexham fans will have thought ‘of course’ when the Carabao Cup draw threw up a clash with the Blades.
Wrexham met Sheffield United in the FA Cup in 2023 and tempers ended up flaring between the two sides.
John Egan’s injury-time leveller at the STōK Cae Ras forced a replay and Sheffield United eventually got over the line.
Billy Sharp became public enemy number one in Wrexham as he felt that everybody wanted Wrexham to win.
Sharp may have since moved back to Doncaster Rovers but Wrexham supporters will now be desperate to pick up a win over the Blades tonight.
United boss Chris Wilder has now shared his thoughts on Wrexham and, more specifically, the rise of the ‘Welcome to Wrexham’ documentary series.
With Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds at the helm, Wrexham have become global news.
‘Welcome to Wrexham’ has provided an inside look into the club’s rise and has sparked new Wrexham fans all over the world.
Other clubs have been featured in documentaries over the years, including Burnley, Grimsby Town, Manchester City and Sunderland but don’t expect Sheffield United to join that list.
Speaking to BBC Radio Sheffield, Wilder noted that featuring in such a series is not for him and urged Netflix not to come knocking on his door.
Wilder seemingly doesn’t want cameras filming his every move and wants to keep everything in house at Bramall Lane.
“Absolutely no!” said Wilder. “Netflix and all stuff like that, don’t come knocking on our door, please, because no, that’s not for me and I think you’ll understand the reasons why,” he added.

This Carabao Cup clash means Wilder will once again come up against Parkinson for the 11th time.
The pair came up in the Southampton youth ranks together and their first clash as managers came back in 2012.
Parkinson’s Bradford City beat Wilder’s Oxford United 2-1 in March 2012 before then beating Oxford again just six months later.
Wilder did beat Parkinson’s Bradford four months later, securing a 2-1 win in West Yorkshire.
Their last seven meetings have been in Bolton Wanderers v Sheffield United clashes with Parkinson winning three and losing four.
That means Parkinson’s total record against Wilder stands at five wins and five defeats.
Parkinson would no doubt love to add another win to that tally in South Yorkshire but beating the relegated Blades will be a real test.
