Wrexham are seeing a former player drive Mansfield Town’s promotion push with Davis Keillor-Dunn enjoying a stunning season.
The League Two promotion race has taken so many twists and turns of late.
Wrexham looked to be in a great position after beating Morecambe 3-1 just 10 days ago, but the last couple of games have been disappointing.
A 0-0 draw with Harrogate Town was followed up by a 1-0 defeat to Tranmere Rovers, leaving Wrexham with just one point from two home games.
Stockport County couldn’t really take advantage, only managing draws against Salford City and Crawley Town in recent days.
Wrexham are still in a decent position here but the race is heating up – and the title may be fading away a little.
Davis Keillor-Dunn driving Mansfield Town
Mansfield Town have pulled five points clear of Wrexham and with the end of the season in sight, the Stags will feel confident of winning League Two.
Nigel Clough’s side have lost just six times this season and their 5-1 win at Bradford City on Saturday again demonstrated their dominance.
One of the goalscorers in that huge win was midfielder Davis Keillor-Dunn, a man Wrexham fans are familiar with after his time at the club.
The Sunderland-born star really bounced around clubs at a young age, spending time with Newcastle United, Middlesbrough, Sunderland and Chesterfield among others.
After becoming a first-team regular at Ross County, Keillor-Dunn joined Wrexham in 2020 but turned out just six times.
That was a very different Wrexham; Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds hadn’t arrived yet and Dean Keates was in charge.

Keillor-Dunn only spent a few months at Wrexham before starring at Oldham Athletic and then heading to Burton Albion.
Mansfield pounced to land Keillor-Dunn in January 2023 and the 26-year-old has been simply sensational this season.
19 goals and seven assists is a stunning record for an attacking midfielder and if Mansfield do win the title, Keillor-Dunn will have been a key part of the success.
Only three players – Will Evans, Matt Smith and Macaulay Langstaff – have scored more League Two goals than Keillor-Dunn this season.
Few Wrexham fans could have seen Keillor-Dunn becoming this kind of player and he looks set to play in League One next season; let’s see if Wrexham can join him.
