Wrexham are still celebrating another promotion having secured a spot in League One with a thumping win over Forest Green Rovers last weekend.
Phil Parkinson has now achieved back-to-back promotions with Wrexham moving from the National League to League One in rapid fashion.
This was the dream for Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds – taking Wrexham out of the doldrums and on an exciting journey forward.
Three promotions in a row would be a big ask but Wrexham fans have learned to rule nothing out; anything is possible right now.
Wrexham will need additions to really compete in League One, just as was the case after promotion to League Two.
Signings will of course be made this summer but Parkinson will also have faith in some of his players to make the step up to League One.
Some have even played at this level before and Parkinson will be looking for those players to make a big impact next season.

Humphrey Ker on Andy Cannon
One of those players is midfielder Andy Cannon.
The 28-year-old featured in League One for Rochdale and Portsmouth, so returns to the third tier after shining in Wrexham’s promotion push.
Cannon was actually part of a promotion-winning Stockport County side in 2022, going up from the National League at Wrexham’s expense.
Cannon is now a key part of the Wrexham operation though and he has been exceptional in the final stages of the season.
Four goals and two assists in his last seven appearances sum up Cannon’s impact, proving to be a driving force from midfield.
Executive director Humphrey Ker has now moved to praise Cannon during an interview with Men in Blazers.
Ker suggested that Cannon ended last season well but was off-colour to start this season with off-field factors affecting his play.
Ker now feels that Cannon has stepped it up and given his best form again, praising the midfielder as ‘sensational’.
“I wouldn’t say it was a surprise, but I think this season, we have seen Andy Cannon really showing us the best of himself,” said Ker. “He was great last year in the run-in, I think he arrived with us in January and played a really pivotal role through to the end of last season, but he started this season – I think he would agree – in quite indifferent form, but I think there were a number of factors at play with that.”
“The challenges that he had to overcome off the pitch, which… distracted is the wrong word but it had been sharing head space with the brain that he needed to run out midfield. Once those were resolved, he’s been sensational. He’s been my Player of the Season, I think,” he added.
Cannon stats in League One
Cannon actually made his senior debut in League One, coming on as a substitute for Rochdale against Leyton Orient back in 2014.
100 more League One appearances followed for Cannon at Rochdale, but he only managed four goals.
Cannon impressed enough to earn himself a January 2019 move to Portsmouth, where he played 63 games in League One and scored three goals.
Hull City came calling in 2021 as Cannon earned himself a Championship move, even scoring on his debut against Preston North End.
Now coming back to League One again, Cannon will be confident of repeating his former success in the third tier once again.
That is certainly what Parkinson will be hoping for, with Ker seemingly confident in the midfielder’s abilities after a strong end to the season.
