In the space of just one weekend, Wrexham are a completely different side once again for one massive reason.

Wrexham made it three wins on the bounce this weekend, as they defeated Doncaster 2-1 at the Racecourse ground.

Phil Parkinson’s side struck late through Elliot Lee to ensure the Red Dragons took all three points, which now sees them climb to 7th place in League Two.

But that wasn’t even the best bit about the weekend’s game. Wrexham now look like a completely different side down for one big reason.

Wrexham now have quality depth to kick on for the rest of the campaign

Wrexham started the game with Sam Dalby and Ollie Palmer up top but ended with Steven Fletcher and Paul Mullin. This is incredible striking depth.

Fletcher arrived a few days ago after a failed bid to recruit Harrogate Town striker, Luke Armstrong, whilst Paul Mullin finally returns from that horrible punctured injury against Manchester United.

Wrexham now have a plethora of deadly striking options, which will be absolutely massive for them going forward.

With the games coming thick and fast, Parkinson will now be able to rotate and give players much-needed breaks – whereas, at the beginning of the campaign, players were looking quite lethargic.

This is going to be a game-changer for the Red Dragons. It also means substitutions will have more of an impact.

Fletcher is going to be a huge asset and we all know what Mullin is capable of.

Despite the shaky start, we’re now mightily optimistic about the rest of the campaign and really think we could finish in an unbelievable position for the first year back in the English Football League.

Let’s see now how it all pans out – but best believe we’re excited.
