Wrexham added another win to the tally on Saturday afternoon, beating Crewe Alexandra 3-0 on the road in the penultimate game of the League Two campaign.
The celebrations from last week’s promotion had to be pushed to one side on Saturday as Wrexham headed away to Crewe.
There may not be much for Wrexham to play for now with promotion already secured, but you wouldn’t have guessed that on Saturday.
Ollie Palmer and Paul Mullin caused havoc in the first half and their exceptional chemistry in the final third produced Wrexham’s first two goals.
Mullin’s cross was headed home by Palmer before Mullin lobbed in number two from Palmer’s flick-on.
Andy Cannon fired home the third in the second half, handing Wrexham a comfortable victory in the final away game of the season.
Wrexham still have to face champions Stockport County on the final day and with both teams already promoted, Phil Parkinson will want to end the season on a high.

James McClean praises Andy Cannon
This has been another outstanding season for Wrexham and we have really seen midfielder Cannon kick on and become a vital first-team player.
The former Hull City man actually dented Wrexham’s rise in 2022, helping Stockport County pip Wrexham to promotion from the National League.
Wrexham pounced to land Cannon permanently in December 2022 and he has been a real driving force this season.
The 28-year-old has now taken his tally to seven goals and six assists in 40 games across all competitions this term.
Cannon has been so good that teammate James McClean has now offered a rather lofty comparison.
Cannon took to Instagram to celebrate Saturday’s goal and victory with McClean then calling him ‘Tesco’s own brand De Bruyne’.
It’s unclear whether Manchester-born Cannon has any kind of allegiance to Manchester City but being likened to Kevin De Bruyne should delight any midfielder.
Cannon can make League One impact
Wrexham are now in the process os weighing up the squad for League One.
Deciding who can make the jump to the third tier and who may be left behind will be the focus for Parkinson and co.
Cannon is certainly a player that we can see making an impact in League One, especially having impressed at that level in the past.
Cannon racked up more than 100 first-team appearances in League One for Rochdale before earning a 2019 move to Portsmouth.
The midfielder then played more than 60 times in League One for Pompey before going on to play 15 times in the Championship with Hull City.
Cannon has proven himself at League One level in the past and having made himself a key player at Wrexham, we think he is primed to shine again next season.
