Wrexham returned to winning ways on Saturday afternoon by hammering Northampton Town 4-1 at the STōK Cae Ras.
Phil Parkinson was looking for a big response on Saturday afternoon after seeing Wrexham stumble on the road.
A 0-0 draw at Leyton Orient was no great shame but Wrexham looked toothless in a 1-0 defeat at Stevenage.
Fans were looking for better back at the STōK Cae Ras and Wrexham certainly turned it up a notch.
Ryan Barnett was unplayable as his crosses set up all four goals in a 4-1 thrashing of Northampton Town.
James McClean started and finished the scoring for Wrexham with Jack Marriott and Elliot Lee also among the goals.

Wrexham are so strong at home and that record at the STōK Cae Ras will be the backbone of any success this season.
Away trips may be a little trickier and that means we would see instances like last week where Wrexham take just one point from away double-headers.
Parkinson will be looking to improve on the road but the occasional defeat shouldn’t be cause for too much panic.
Captain James McClean has now offered his thoughts on Wrexham’s recent displays and admitted that it hasn’t really been good enough.
Speaking on Wrexham’s official YouTube channel, McClean accepted that Wrexham’s intensity has been ‘a little bit off’ in recent games.
McClean admitted that boss Phil Parkinson had been hammering into his players on Friday that more intensity was needed against Northampton.
The Irishman was happy with how Wrexham ended up performing, believing that few teams can cop with Wrexham when the intensity levels are high.
“It’s just to make sure our intensity and our hard work… it’s kind of been a little bit off in the last few games and the gaffer yesterday made sure to emphasise that we need to get back to us being that because that’s when we’re at our best,” said McClean.
“Other teams struggle to live with us when we’re like that and we were back to that today,” he added.
Wrexham next five fixtures
The League One season is a real slog and that means there will be some ups and downs along the way.
It also means that international breaks are quite welcome for some players, having some time to recharge ahead of more fixtures.
McClean will be one of them, resting up before hopefully showing that intensity again upon coming back to action.
Next weekend’s proposed game against Lincoln City has been postponed due to international call-ups, so Wrexham’s next game will come on October 19.
That will see Wrexham take on Rotherham United away from home before welcoming Huddersfield Town to the STōK Cae Ras.
A trip to Charlton Athletic is next up on the Wrexham fixture list and the attention then turns to the FA Cup as the first round takes place over the opening weekend of November.
Mansfield Town then visit the STōK Cae Ras before another international break takes place, with the away trip to Stockport County potentially at risk of postponement too.
Wrexham will hope to take confidence from Saturday’s win over Northampton and will be looking to keep intensity levels high moving forward.
