Wrexham are now planning to take on Rotherham United this weekend but the fallout from beating Huddersfield Town continues.
This week has been a Yorkshire double-header for Wrexham.
Phil Parkinson’s attention is fully set on this weekend’s clash with Rotherham United as the Millers head to the STōK Cae Ras.
Tuesday night saw Wrexham hit the road though, heading to take on Huddersfield Town away from home.
Wrexham beat Huddersfield 1-0 thanks to Steven Fletcher’s winner as the Scot scored from a real goalmouth scramble.
Wrexham fans praised Fletcher for his winning goal but Huddersfield are seemingly still frustrated.

Huddersfield Town claim Wrexham apology
Straight after Tuesday’s game, Huddersfield boss Michael Duff suggested that Wrexham ‘did nothing’ going forward.
Duff also admitted his annoyance at Fletcher’s goal being allowed to stand, suggesting that there was a foul in the build-up – and that Fletcher was offside.
Wrexham fans certainly didn’t care about that as the travelling supporters celebrated a fine away victory.
Duff has now followed up on the incident though, telling the Yorkshire Post that he has now received an apology from the EFL.
Duff suggested that the EFL have confirmed that Fletcher’s goal should not have stood – both because of a foul and because of an offside.
The Terriers boss noted that the moment has now gone, but is frustrated that the decision went against him and his Huddersfield side.
“I have had feedback and an apology,” said Duff.
“That there was a foul and he’s offside in the goal. We also had a good goal disallowed in my opinion that was close to be fair. It was the same linesman.
“He’s got one decision wrong, which went against us. But it’s gone,” he added.
Wrexham v Rotherham United referee named
Wrexham won’t care one bit about the apology – it’s three points in the big as the League One promotion race continues.
The attention shifts towards Saturday with Wrexham needing to halt a worrying slide in home form.
Rotherham arrive on Saturday and the EFL have now confirmed the referee for this weekend’s clash.
Jeremy Simpson will be the man in the middle on Saturday with the Lancashire-based referee handed just his second League One game of the season.
Simpson’s last League One game came in January as Blackpool beat Lincoln City 2-0.
Transfermarkt suggest that Simpson has refereed eight Wrexham games in the past – all long before the Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds era.
Wrexham have won four of those eight games, drawing two and losing two with Parkinson no doubt hoping for another victory this weekend.
