Wrexham advanced into the fourth round of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night, beating League One side Reading 2-0 at the STōK Cae Ras.
Wrexham have now won four of the last five games in all competitions after Phil Parkinson beat former club Reading 2-0.
Nathan Broadhead was the star of the show, scoring twice to truly announce himself as a Wrexham player.
Wrexham paid a club-record fee for Broadhead, and two quality finishes demonstrated the kind of attacking talent the Welshman possesses.

Nathan Broadhead comments on Rob Mac and Ryan Reynolds’ Wrexham vision
Wrexham fans have been waiting for Broadhead to really kickstart his career at the STōK Cae Ras, and Tuesday’s display was perfect in that regard.
Broadhead was quiet in the first half, but came alive after the break and showed his game-changing quality in the final third.
Broadhead has now spoken to BBC Sport about his move to Wrexham and the plans under Rob Mac and Ryan Reynolds.
The Welsh international admitted that taking Wrexham to the Premier League was the ‘main reason’ why he returned to the club.
Broadhead quit Wrexham as a child, joining the Everton youth ranks after being encouraged by his parents.
Now back at Wrexham, Broadhead noted that he can ‘see the vision’ of Rob Mac and Ryan Reynolds, and the addition of ‘quality’ Championship players just shows where the owners want to take the club.
“That’s the main reason I came, and hopefully we can do that to get this club to the Premier League,” said Broadhead.
“That’s the aim of the owners. So I see the vision, and hopefully we can get there. You see the players coming in. You’re bringing in quality players from the Championship, and it just shows you where the owners want to be.
“That’s the project, what we’re going on,” he added.
Nathan Broadhead can help Wrexham momentum
Wrexham fans are right behind Phil Parkinson, and rightly so after three straight promotions.
Ups and downs are just part of Championship life, but Wrexham have every reason to be encouraged.
Two wins in three in the Championship and four wins in five across all competitions show that Wrexham are on the right track.
Parkinson is now able to welcome Broadhead back into the fold after a calf injury, and adding that kind of proven Championship quality in the final third could help Wrexham generate more momentum.
Broadhead’s quality alongside Kieffer Moore and Josh Windass could make Wrexham even more dangerous going forward, and some tighter defending could make Parkinson’s side a serious threat.
