Wrexham striker Ollie Palmer believes that the club’s away form isn’t really as bad as people think.
Phil Parkinson’s men were back on the road again on Saturday, heading up to the Mazuma Stadium to take on Morecambe.
Wrexham fans probably had a feeling of ‘here we go again’ as Ged Garner fired Morecambe into an early lead.
It was all Wrexham from there though as James McClean found the equaliser before Paul Mullin and Steven Fletcher handed Wrexham the win.
Three points on the road always taste a littler sweeter, but especially for Wrexham after some away day struggles in recent times.

Wrexham are top of League Two for home form, winning 13 of 17 and losing just two, racking up 48 goals in the process.
The away form isn’t quite the same with Wrexham sitting eighth, winning six of 19 away games this term.
Wrexham also have a -5 goal difference away from home compared to +26 at home, so there have been some issues on the road.
Striker Ollie Palmer has now offered his view, telling BBC Sport that the away from isn’t as bad as made out.
Palmer noted that Wrexham want to be one of the top teams in the league and being around eighth in the away table is ‘not horrendous’.
Palmer accepts that Wrexham do need to get better away from home, but says ‘you can’t have everything’ given that Wrexham are so good at home.
“I don’t think our away form is as bad as people make out,” said Palmer. “If you’re going to refer to yourselves as one of the top teams in the league, obviously we want to try and be right up there, but we’re probably seventh or eighth in the [away] form table, which is not horrendous.”
“If you want to get to where we want to get to, we know we’ve got to better that. We have fantastic home form, but you can’t have everything,” he added.
Wrexham face four away games between now and the end of the season, travelling to Grimsby Town, Doncaster Rovers, Colchester United and Crewe Alexandra.
Points on the road would be welcome in his push for promotion, but six home games will leave Wrexham confident of getting enough points to get over the line.
Palmer clearly isn’t too concerned right now and if you can win your home games and pick up points on the road, you will end up in a good place – which is just what Wrexham are targeting.
