Wrexham goal machine Paul Mullin has issued his verdict after his side clinched promotion to League One.
Paul Mullin has etched his name into Wrexham folklore for many reasons.
The 29-year-old recently surpassed the 100-goal mark for the Reds and is closing in on the players above him.
He’s also hit a rich vein of scoring form at the perfect time to fire Phil Parkinson’s men to a second consecutive promotion. Mullin’s brace on Saturday saw him reach an impressive tally of 23 league goals for the campaign, with 13 coming in his last 11 matches.
Considering the Liverpool-born forward missed the first six matches of the campaign with a punctured lung, that isn’t bad going.
Mullin currently trails Notts County striker Macaulay Langstaff in the scoring charts for the second season running having battled with him for the National League’s golden boot.

As Rob McElhenney, Ryan Reynolds and several of his teammates flocked to social media to give their verdict on a momentous occasion, Mullin was late to the party.
The former Cambridge United striker posted a picture of him standing on the top of the advertising boards with his arms saluting the sea of Wrexham supporters. It was a carbon copy of his post a year earlier as the Reds celebrated winning the National League title.
Recreating the image from that famous day, Mullin captioned it: “The first time was so nice. We had to do it twice.”
Can Paul Mullin score goals in League One?
Mullin has shown throughout his Wrexham career he’s more than just a striker. He can drop deep to receive the ball and create chances for his team while pressing from the front.
The Englishman has recorded seven assists this term, as per Transfermarkt, which shows his ability to create chances for his team.
The main question about Mullin is whether he can step up to the higher divisions. Although Lee Trundle believes he is a Championship-level striker, the last time he played at League One level he scored three goals in 20 appearances for Tranmere Rovers.
Having developed into a complete striker since the 2019/20 campaign, the Mullin entering the third tier now has transformed into a different beast.
The 29-year-old, much like Wrexham, is ready to take the division head-on and prove he isn’t just a goal machine in the lower leagues, he can cut it at a higher level.
