Wrexham striker Paul Mullin has praised midfielder Andy Cannon following Saturday’s impressive 3-1 win away at Morecambe.
We could forgive any Wrexham fan for being a little fearful when it comes to away games.
Wrexham haven’t exactly impressed on the road of late and seeing Ged Garner put Morecambe 1-0 up early on probably gave many supporters a sinking feeling.
Phil Parkinson’s side hit back though as James McClean levelled it up for Wrexham before half-time.
Paul Mullin’s penalty and a Steven Fletcher sealed a 3-1 Wrexham win against a 10-man Morecambe side, continuing the push for promotion.
Paul Mullin hails Andy Cannon
Goalscorers tend to grab all the headlines, but Wrexham midfielder Andy Cannon deserves a few of his own right now.
Cannon was exceptional in the Wrexham midfield, turning in a tireless display to make a huge impact.
The 27-year-old racked up three tackles, two interceptions, four shots and one dribble in a fine performance.
We know how good Cannon can be and Saturday was a superb demonstration of his ability.
Cannon took to social media after the game, simply posting ‘+3’ after another Wrexham victory.

George Evans was in the comments showing his support for Cannon with striker Mullin offering a comment.
‘Viva Andy C’ wrote Mullin, showing some love for the Wrexham midfielder after an impressive away day victory.
It’s not that long ago that Cannon was playing Championship football with Hull City.
The former Rochdale man played a key role in winning promotion with Wrexham last season and now looks in the mood to do it again.
If Cannon can replicate Saturday’s display on a few more occasions, Wrexham will have a much better chance of reaching League One – and getting Cannon back up the leagues again.
