Wrexham owners Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds have opened up in support of Paul Mullin as the release of his new book nears.
Since signing for Wrexham in 2021, Paul Mullin has become one of the most loved players by fans and even the owners.
Under Phil Parkinson, the Welshman has made 109 appearances and scored 85 goals in a truly magical return
Prior to his move to the Reds, Mullin had played for a variety of teams including Cambridge United, Tranmere and Morecombe.
A move to the National League did come as a surprise following a record-breaking season for the U’s. He scored 34 in 50 games as he won League Two Player of the Season.
It is safe to say his time in North East Wales has been a success. His new book ‘Paul Mullin My Wrexham Story’ will discuss his career for the Reds.
What have Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds said?
Upon the announcement of his book, there was plenty of excitement and praise levelled at Mullin on social media.
If you have seen ‘Welcome to Wrexham‘ you will know how much Rob and Ryan love Mullin and have since his signing.

With that, the pair reacted to the book by saying ‘The best book I’ve read, this guy is a hero’ and ‘one of the greatest footballers in the world’.
It is clear to see the admiration that the owners have for the Welshman as the fans also do.
What has Paul Mullin said?
Speaking ahead of the release of the book in the coming weeks, Mullin wanted to outline his reasons for the book.
Speaking with the Daily Mirror, the Reds star said: “I wanted to speak about the life of a lower-league footballer, the times when you are out of the game, getting released, things like that.
“Now I’ve got a sort of a platform to talk about other things.”
Mullin hasn’t had an easy ride to become the player he is today. With several spells that didn’t go to plan and times, he was released by clubs.
Recollecting on those was one reason for his book: “Now I’ve got a sort of a platform to talk about other things. In the book, I think I can help many people like parents of autistic children.
“Young lads who have fallen out of the game, to lads who are in the game now showing how things can turn in such a short space of time so never to give up.”
There are many tough topics brought up and some that are bigger than football but it is bound to be an enjoyable read nonetheless.
