Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds have sent one Wrexham supporter a message ahead of their clash against Tranmere Rovers this weekend.
Wrexham are back in action on Saturday afternoon against Tranmere after playing out a goalless draw against Harrogate Town on Tuesday night.
The Reds threw the kitchen sink at their play-off chasing opponents but couldn’t find the breakthrough as Paul Mullin and Ollie Palmer were left feeling frustrated.
Despite dropping points, Phil Parkinson’s men still find themselves third in the table, two points behind leaders Mansfield after they dropped points against Tranmere.
Ahead of the clash, Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds have sent their regards to one Wrexham supporter celebrating their landmark 100th birthday.
A year ago, when Wrexham were scrapping to get out of the National League, McElhenney wished the same fan a happy 99th birthday, writing: “Happy birthday Arthur!!! Let’s celebrate 100 in the EFL!!!!”.
Of course, that dream came true and the Reds were promoted to League Two in record-breaking style.
Now, as Parkinson’s men close in on the division’s summit, Wrexham are starting to dream of winning a promotion to League One.

The Hollywood superstars have congratulated the supporter on reaching his landmark 100th birthday with two contrasting messages.
While Reynolds unsurprisingly went with the humourous approach and wrote: “Congratulations, Arthur! 100 is the new 98! Happy Birthday, young man.”
McElhenney followed up from last years message by telling the supporter that he’s going to celebrate his 101st birthday with Wrexham in League One.
If Wrexham needed any more inspiration to repeat last season’s success, they’re now carrying the hopes of one supporter on their back.
More inspiration to win promotion
With only nine matches left of the season, the Reds are in a prominent position to achieve back-to-back promotions.
In recent weeks, they’ve seen some of their rivals falter whilst they’ve lost just one of their last eight matches in the league.
It’s some promotion-winning form that Wrexham are putting together and they must continue their recent run by putting Tranmere to the sword on Saturday.
Of course, after watching them dispatch the league leaders, it won’t be an easy afternoon by any means.
However, if Parkinson’s squad needed to be inspired anymore by the prospect of reaching the third tier, they only have to look at how happy it would make; not just Arthur, but thousands of Wrexham supporters across the globe.
