Rob McElhenney sent a touching message after Wrexham beat Wycombe Wanderers 1-0 on March 15th.
The Red Dragons were looking to leapfrog their opponents in the League One table when they kicked off on Saturday.
The breakthrough eventually came when Steven Fletcher helped set up Sam Smith for his third goal since arriving in January.
That effort in the 78th minute was enough to see Wrexham beat Wycombe 1-0, but sometimes there are more important things in life than football.

Rob McElhenney message to Wrexham fan who was rushed to the hospital
The game was brought to a halt in the 78th minute due to an ongoing medical incident in the crowd.
Wrexham then confirmed 31 minutes later that the supporter in question had left the stadium and was in a stable condition.
They wrote: “The patient has left the stadium in a stable condition and is on the way to hospital. We’d like to thank the emergency services and staff for their efforts.”
Following the match, Wrexham co-owner Rob McElhenney has now taken to X/Twitter to send his love and support to the fan.
He wrote: “We are all so proud of the lads and their massive win. But our hearts go out to our supporter who was rushed to the hospital. Wishing them the best of recoveries. Up the Town.”
Phil Parkinson send message to Wrexham fan
Phil Parkinson also sent his support to the fan and his family, as per BBC Sport.
He said: “Our thoughts are with him and his family. We’ve been told he’s in a stable condition and that’s the most important news. It’s terrible when something like that happens and football pales into insignificance.
“It was only when we found out that he was in a stable on his way to hospital that both sets of players wanted to come out and continue the game.
“We spoke about it in the dressing room that there was going to be another 20 minutes to play. Could we be the team that started the best and do it for our supporters. That’s what we spoke about, and the lads certainly did that.”
