Wrexham owner, Ryan Reynolds has opened up about his family and how the club has been taken to by his children.
Back in November 2020, Wrexham was purchased by Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney and they haven’t looked back.
Under the tutelage of Phil Parkinson, the Reds have gone from strength to strength and reached the EFL.
With that being said, nobody could have really expected just how much the new owners would come to love the club.
What has Ryan Reynolds said?
Speaking in the latest episode of Welcome to Wrexham, the Reds owner has admitted the club has been taken on by his family.
In the episode, Reynolds’ mother suggested his relationship with his father was difficult at times.
Recollecting on that, he said: “My relationship with my father was almost exclusively tethered and held together by our mutual love of sports.”
Moving on to discuss his own kids, he was overjoyed when discussing them and the club: “My kids are obsessed with Wrexham. They’re obsessed with Wrexham.”

From a fan’s perspective, it is a great thing to hear. The fact that the club has positively infiltrated Reynolds’ home life is staggering to hear.
At the time of purchase, the club had been in the National League for 13+ years. Now they are loved in the States.
A crazy journey and what a time to follow the Reds.
Ownership continues to get better
It must be said that although it is a small anecdote. It didn’t mean much in the context of the whole documentary.
Although that may have been the case, this is the reason why Wrexham fans love the series. This as it gives that additional insight.
Reynolds and McElhenney are very public-facing. To have them speaking on a weekly basis about the club is surreal.
There is no doubt how much this club means to the pair and long may it continue moving forward.
