A former Premier League star is impressed with the Wrexham journey and has been full of praise for Hollywood owner Ryan Reynolds.
It was huge news when Wrexham were approached by Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney with interest in a takeover. They were two huge stars in their industry and many people wondered why they would want to take over at the Racecourse.
There was an exciting atmosphere amongst the fans in North Wales with an impressive pitch made by the Wrexham owners.
Since the takeover, it has been a hugely successful story with manager Phil Parkinson securing back-to-back promotions from the National League to League One.
Wrexham is set for their first League One campaign in 19 years with the North Wales club impressing on their Wrex Coast tour.
The tour highlighted the recent success of the club’s marketing rise with huge support in attendance. The Red Dragons went unbeaten on their tour with a 1-1 draw with Bournemouth, a 2-2 draw with Chelsea, and concluded the tour with a 4-1 win against Vancouver Whitecaps.

Former Tottenham midfielder Jamie O’Hara has been full of praise for the Wrexham ownership with the Talksport pundit admiring the journey that the Welsh club is on.
The Hollywood owners have no doubt brought huge marketing success to the club with the docuseries ‘Welcome to Wrexham’ having a huge impact in the US and putting Wrexham on a global scale.
The former Premier League star believes that Reynolds deserves more credit for the success on the pitch.
Speaking on talkSPORT on Monday morning, O’Hara said: “Wrexham is an unbelievable story, isn’t it? It’s crazy. It’s brilliant.
“You know what? Ryan Reynolds got in there, I know it is a big story, they made it a story, and I think they have made it really well, the marketing side of it has been amazing, but I tell you what – they have got it right as well on the pitch.”

Since the Hollywood owners have arrived they have made clear that they will not interfere with football decisions. They want to be involved and will support the structure when they can, but they will trust the staff structure in place.
They have been keen to show their support for the Wrexham boss in the transfer windows with many impressive signings contributing to the on-field success in North Wales.
Key signings like Paul Mullin, Elliot Lee, and club-record signing Ollie Palmer have all been vital to the club’s recent success.
The owners remain keen to progress the club but are aware of the challenge League One presents.
Fans will be hopeful that the Red Dragons can be competitive in the coming season and take the recent structure at the club as a positive.
