Wrexham fans have been reacting to a training clip of Elliot Lee and Andy Cannon that has been posted on the club’s Instagram.
It has been an ideal start to life back in the EFL for Wrexham as they currently sit in second place in League Two, at the time of writing.
Under Phil Parkinson, the Reds have gone from strength to strength which saw them promoted from the National League last year.
This has coincided with the ownership of Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney which has gone as well as anyone could have expected.
With all this being taken into account, it is a great time to support Wrexham right now. This all is added to by an extremely likeable squad which fans can relate to.
Thanks to ‘Welcome to Wrexham‘, fans have had an insight into their lives which has just increased their love for them. With players like Anthony Forde and Paul Mullin opening up about their lives to fans, there is an open nature to the club right now.
As a result of all this, the fanbase on social media has gotten bigger and behind-the-scenes content has grown in demand.
What have fans said about Elliot Lee and Andy Cannon?
In a post to the Wrexham Instagram page, a clip of the midfield duo, Elliot Lee and Andy Cannon, in training has been amusing fans.
The clip with the caption, ‘Wrexham take on Strictly Come Dancing at training?!’ has seen over 4,000 likes so far. This interaction in less than a day since being posted.
In this training session, it appears that the aim of the game is tag between the pair which sees some nimble footwork. It is unclear as to who actually won the encounter but it made for a funny clip nonetheless.
The clip has been reacted to by many fans on Instagram who have clearly enjoyed to see Lee and Cannon in training. One fan reacted by saying: “That’s ace!”
Another said: “Andy ‘Twinkle Toes’ Cannon strikes again!” In recent weeks the former Hull City man has been in top form and seen himself become a fan favourite. His partnership with Lee has pushed that home even more so.
A third fan reacted to the clip, saying: “@vancityreynolds and @robmcelhenney need to be doing this….” Seeing the Reds owners doing this would make for a great video, although it doesn’t feel likely.
It is great to get some insight into yet another side of Wrexham, Lee and Cannon, and this clip does exactly that.
