The Wrexham story under Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds continues to dazzle after securing promotion to League One on Saturday.
Wrexham beat Forest Green Rovers 6-0 on Saturday, securing promotion back to the third tier after nearly 20 years away.
The League Two title may now be out of reach after Stockport County were crowned champions, but that won’t take the shine off another Wrexham promotion.
That is now back-to-back promotions for Wrexham, heading from the National League to League One in rapid fashion.
This latest promotion will bring new challenges for Wrexham with some massive clubs still in League One.
It’s over to McElhenney and Reynolds to strategise and come up with a plan for Wrexham, with consolidation surely the immediate goal rather than another promotion.

Ryan Reynolds message to Rob McElhenney
The end of the season is in sight now, but so is another season of Welcome to Wrexham.
The hit documentary series has been a roaring success, charting Wrexham’s failed push for promotion from the National League in the 2021-22 season before getting over the line in 2023.
Series three was originally supposed to be released today, April 18th, but has now been pushed back to May 2nd.
Fans will be desperate to watch the show and a sneak peek was revealed overnight in America.
McElhenney was interviewed on Jimmy Kimmel Live and, before McElhenney spoke, a clip from the new series was shown.
We saw Reynolds giving an emotional message to McElhenney before Wrexham kicked off the League Two campaign against Milton Keynes Dons.
Reynolds didn’t want let the moment pass and wanted to make sure that he and McElhenney really appreciated being in the EFL again.
“Here we are again, the beginning of another season, you and me,” said Reynolds. “Hopefully a hundred more times, what a special thing. Let’s not let that pass without marking the moment of like ‘holy ****, we’re standing in the English Football League now. We’re in the English ******* Football League now!” he added.
The game ended in a 5-3 defeat for Wrexham but Reynolds and co are now able to celebrate again after promotion to League One.
Some difficult decisions to come
Even non-Wrexham fans have formed a bond with some of the squad thanks to Welcome to Wrexham.
Wrexham’s rapid rise from National League to League One will though force some difficult decisions.
Some players were able to step up to League Two with ease but League One is a different beast.
Popular players such as Rob Lainton, Ben Tozer and Luke Young are all out of contract this summer, as are the likes of Aaron Hayden and Jordan Tunnicliffe.
Wrexham may need to take sentimentality out of the equation and let some of these players go in order to take the next step in the club’s project.
Saying goodbye to players is never easy, especially when they have played such a key role in the two promotions, but Wrexham may need to be ruthless this summer.
