Quiz show star Jenny Ryan was in the stands to watch Wrexham lose to Tranmere Rovers on Saturday – but why?
The last few days have been pretty miserable for Wrexham fans.
The 0-0 draw with Harrogate Town was a frustrating night, failing to provide the cutting edge to find a win.
Phil Parkinson had to respond with a win over rivals Tranmere Rovers but ended up falling to a 1-0 defeat.
Two blanks in the space of a few days and just one point from two home games will leave Wrexham fans concerned about the end to the season.
Wrexham supporters certainly weren’t impressed on Saturday and one celebrity visitor probably felt the same way…

We are used to seeing some big names around Wrexham these days with Paul Rudd and Will Ferrell among those to make the trip after Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds’ takeover.
Jenny Ryan, star of quiz show The Chase, may not quite be at that level of fame but was still a familiar face in the crowd on Saturday.
Ryan posted a photo from the STōK Cae Ras, cheering Wrexham on in vain against Tranmere.
So is Ryan a Wrexham supporter?
Ryan, who hails from Bolton, is actually a Bolton Wanderers fan and a season ticket holder, so her trip to Wrexham may leave some confused.
Well, Ryan’s partner Thom Tuck is the key connection here.
Tuck is a Leeds United fan but is a part of the comedy troupe ‘The Penny Dreadfuls’ alongside none other than Humphrey Ker; the man key to the McElhenney and Reynolds takeover.
Ker is married to Megan Ganz – who has worked on TV shows It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia and Mythic Quest with McElhenney – and was asked by McElhenney to find him a football club to buy.
Ker recommended Wrexham and the rest is history with the comedian now serving as the club’s Executive Director and being featured heavily on Welcome to Wrexham.
Both Ryan and Tuck attended Saturday’s game, surely either after being invited by Ker or just to cheer on his club as we reach the crucial part of the season.
This story features a lot of ‘who knows who’ but that’s how things have become in recent years with everybody wanting a slice of the Wrexham story.
If Ryan and co return again any time soon, let’s just hope for a better result!
