Wrexham goalkeeper Mark Howard has posted a picture with Manchester City legend Sergio Aguero while posting a hilarious seven-word message.
Wrexham Red Dragons men’s and women’s teams have landed in North Carolina ahead of the TST 7v7 tournament.
Wrexham’s team consists of ex-Premier League players George Boyd, Matt Jarvis, Bradley Johnson and Gary Hooper, to name a few, while current players Jake Bickerstaff, Aaron James, Mark Howard and youngster Harry Ashfield have also been called up.
The tournament consists of 48 different teams, including some icons of the footballing world with Manchester City legend himself, Sergio Aguero, creating his very own team.
Ahead of the Wrexham Red Dragon’s first match against FC Roha Eagles this afternoon (June 5th), goalkeeper Mark Howard has uploaded a picture onto Instagram with Aguero.

Mark Howard writes hilarious caption on Instagram post with Sergio Aguero
Aguero is one of the greatest strikers of the modern era.
During his time at Man City, he plundered 260 goals in 390 appearances, propelling himself towards stardom in the Premier League and in Europe.
Now retired following an illustrious career which saw him win five Premier League titles, one FA Cup and a Copa America, to name a few of his accolades, Aguero is now enjoying retirement.
And Howard has taken the opportunity to take and upload a picture of the Argentinian icon onto Instagram, captioning it: “Been told this guys famous on Twitch”.
That’s a joke response considering he’s one of the greatest strikers to grace the beautiful game, but he’s not wrong in the statement either as Aguero has amassed 4.8 million followers on Twitch.
Wrexham could do with a striker like Sergio Aguero
In his prime, Aguero was the complete striker, bullying defenders with his freakish strength, searing pace and powerful shot.
His ability to finish all types of chances, even when the angle looked impossible, was incredible and Wrexham could do with a striker who boasts similar attributes to the Argentine.
Currently, Phil Parkinson is lacking a centre forward to play alongside Paul Mullin who is super quick and direct.
Parkinson normally prefers to play a tall and physical striker next to the Liverpudlian such as Steven Fletcher and Ollie Palmer but links to Loughgall goal machine Benji Magee suggest he’s looking for someone of a different profile.
At any level, a striker with incredible pace and clever movement can win you matches, however, in League One it’s a necessity, especially since Wrexham like to play on the counterattack.
If Parkinson can unearth a striker in a similar mould to Aguero – of course not on the same level – the Reds will be a difficult proposition to stop in attack next season.
