Wrexham will have some big contract decisions to make this summer, but it’s difficult to get moving on those until the club’s promotion fate is known.
Wrexham continue to chase promotion to League One and face a huge clash against Mansfield Town this weekend.
A win would put Wrexham in a great position to not only secure promotion, but possibly go for top spot too.
The aim is clear; Wrexham want to be a League One club come this summer and a big transfer window could be on the horizon if promotion can be secured.
Changes will come regardless though and a host of players are out of contract; players who may be priorities in League Two but could may be let go upon promotion.
The likes of Jordan Tunnicliffe, Callum McFadzean and Ben Tozer fit that bill and midfielder Luke Young may be another name for the list…

Luke Young on Wrexham future
Young is an absolute Wrexham hero.
The 31-year-old joined Wrexham from Torquay United back in 2018 and has become part of the furniture at the club.
The midfielder has now racked up more than 200 appearances for Wrexham and is still dependable when called upon.
Young’s deal ends this summer though and his time may be coming to an end after just 10 league starts this season.
Young has now spoken to The Athletic and admitted that he isn’t taking anything for granted and can’t predict his own future.

The veteran added that Wrexham will always be in his heart whether he is will the club or not, supporting Wrexham from afar.
“You never know what is just around the corner in football,” said Young. “A week can be a long time (in football), never mind a couple of months. I’ve never taken anything for granted in my whole playing career.”
“Being here for so long, whatever happens, this club will always have a place in my heart. Whether I am here next season, or the season after or not, I’ll always look for the results — like Plymouth and Torquay, my previous clubs. For now, I’m just focused on the games. Everyone’s goal is to get promotion,” he added.
If Young’s time to go does arrive this summer, then you can be sure that Wrexham fans will send all the appreciation in the world his way.
Young has been a superb servant to Wrexham for six years now and his contribution to the club will never be forgotten.
Much will depend on what division Wrexham play in next season, but we know Phil Parkinson values experience massively and Young may yet be given a chance to shine in the third tier if Wrexham make it there.
