Following the EMMY Award win for ‘Welcome to Wrexham’, Rob McElhenney has reacted to a hilarious social media post celebrating the win.
It has been a great few years for Wrexham which has seen the club rise through the leagues and see positivity consume the club.
This has seen Phil Parkinson take over the wheel and the club with the Reds seemingly stuck in the National League. Now he has got them up into the EFL and now sat third in League Two, at the time of writing.
With that all being said, it has been the impact Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have had that is mostly spoken about.

This has seen local businesses benefit while also seeing players like Anthony Forde looked after when they needed it most.
The club’s hierarchy has now been awarded for their work regarding the documentary of the club last season.
McElhenney reacts to Wrexham EMMY win
This week has seen the series, ‘Welcome to Wrexham‘, secure five EMMY awards at the 75th edition of the awards.
In an announcement from the official Wrexham website, they said: “The documentary won five awards from six nominations, which are as follows…
“Outstanding Picture Editing For An Unstructured Reality Program, Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program, Outstanding Directing For A Reality Program; Outstanding Sound Mixing For A Reality Program (Single or Multi-Camera), Outstanding Cinematography For A Reality Program.”
Amazingly there was only one other show to win more awards which was ‘The Last of Us’ with eight different awards.
This has now seen McElhenney react on Twitter following a hilarious congratulations message on social media. This message said: “Proer congrats to Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds.”
It also featured an image of Deadpool holding a picture of McElhenney at peak fitness while a “less fit” version looked on in disbelief.
It is safe to say that the ‘Always Sunny in Philadephia’ actor saw the funny side and if anything, he loved it. This is shown as he said: “Thank you! Should I frame this?”
It is safe to say that the Wrexham owners know how to laugh at themselves and have some fun on social media. This is just yet another reason to love McElhenney who has shown his love for the club on his popular Twitter page once again.
There is no doubt that it is great to see Wrexham succeed on the pitch but their growth off it is clear to see. The Reds have won five EMMY’s which a few years ago would be a crazy statement to hear.
