Wrexham saw their promotion hopes take a hit on Tuesday evening when they lost to Leyton Orient.
Leyton Orient have been on a good run of form and climbed into the automatic promotion places as a result.
However, Wrexham were on home soil and had lost just one league fixture at the Racecourse Ground in nearly a year.
In turn, with Phil Parkinson having a largely fit squad to choose from, three points were likely expected on the night.
Things got off to a great start when Ollie Rathbone yet again scored to put the Red Dragons in front after 15 minutes.
But Charlie Kelman equalised in the 30th minute before the away team took the lead five minutes into the second half.
When all was said and done, Wrexham lost 2-1 to Leyton Orient, producing one of their worst displays of the campaign in the second half.

Wrexham fans on Paul Mullin after Leyton Orient snub
Following the match, Wrexham fans hit out at Phil Parkinson for the tactics on display across the 90 minutes.
They also had a lot to say about Paul Mullin, with many taking to social media post-match to express their opinion he needs to be brought back in.
One fan wrote: “There is no point in mentioning Fletcher has he can’t start, he plays Rodriguez as second striker (looks lost) Marriott has made no impact at all when coming on, in my opinion, Mullin can play at League One level but he needs the right partner.”
A second added: Longman has to play . Looked a proper threat last 10 on the left. I’d probably swap him for McLean and leave Barney in. Mullin and Smith could be a right duo I reckon.”
“Start Paul Mullin and Ollie Palmer in the next match. And make them feel confident and not worthless during practice this week. It’s worth a shot…” Another stated.
A fourth Wrexham fan wrote: “Sam Smith and Paul Mullin up top and let the fans do the rest.”
Another claimed: “Wrexham have been —– since we started playing Dobson and James in midfield. I’d genuinely be putting Evans back in there. Plus Mullin in the squad.”
A sixth added: “No Mullin No Party – one of our all-time leading scorers sat in the stands, get in the bin.”
While another Red Dragons fan stated: “Parky lad, I love you, but stop playing two defensive midfielders, get Mulls up front with Smith.”

Paul Mullin record compared to Wrexham strikers
After such a frustrating display it’s easy to see why Wrexham fans want Mullin brought back into the squad.
However, it’s worth remembering that the reason the club wanted a new striker in January, which fans were keen for, was because the likes of Mullin were greatly underperforming this season.
| Stats (L1) | Paul Mullin | Ollie Palmer | Jack Marriott | Jay Rodriguez | Sam Smith | Steven Fletcher |
| Appearances | 26 | 27 | 15 | 3 | 28 | 25 |
| Goals | 3 | 3 | 5 | 0 | 12 | 6 |
| Assists | 0 | 2 | 0 | 0 | 2 | 0 |
Jay Rodriguez may not have shone since his arrival but it’s hard to put too much blame on the players for the Orient defeat as the tactics were all wrong and there’s a bigger problem in midfield right now.
