Wrexham fans have been speaking out about Arthur Okonkwo following his error in the 4-1 defeat to Blackburn Rovers.
It was a night to forget for Wrexham as they travelled to Ewood Park to face Blackburn Rovers in the FA Cup fourth round.
The game started about as well as Phil Parkinson could have hoped as Andy Cannon smashed home an early goal.
What followed was an unfortunate turn of events which first saw Sammie Szmodics smash home his first from close range. He went on to double his during the second half before Sondre Tronstad slammed a loose ball into the top corner.
Despite the heavy defeat, it must be said that the Reds did give a good account of themselves throughout the game.
There was just one moment which saw Wrexham fans cover their eyes as the game was flipped on its head in the first half.

Wrexham fans react to Arthur Okonkwo
The moment which got fans talking during and post-game was Blackburn’s second to put them 2-1 in front on the night.
This was as Arthur Okonkwo rushed out of his goal as he went to close down Sam Gallagher well outside the 18-yard box.
The Arsenal loanee appeared to slow down as the Rovers’ striker reached the ball first. This made for an easy finish for the forward who converted into an open net.
This was the flash point of a very shaky first half for Okonkwo who had looked as if a mistake was in him at times.
Now Wrexham fans have taken to social media to discuss the moment. This has seen everything from consoling comments to some negative views for the keeper.
This fan said: “Feel for Arthur Okonkwo He’s been top class for Wrexham this season. But with so many eyes on this game, this is likely what will be talked about.”
It must be said that with the game finishing 4-1, he may escape with as much of the blame as he may have. With that being said, he did still make three saves during the rest of the game to keep the score down.
This fan was less apologetic for the keeper as they said: “That was some terrible keeping.”
It is frustrating that Okonkwo was so keen to rush out of his goal to meet Gallagher. This is especially true given that the eventual shot was midway inside the Reds’ half.
If he had stuck to his area and stayed close to his line then there would have been no chance for the striker to get a shot off. This eventually swayed the game in favour of the Championship side in the end.
