Wrexham’s promotion rivals Stockport County produced a superb fightback to claim a 2-2 draw at Salford City on Thursday night.
The League Two promotion race is just so tight right now.
Five points separate leaders Mansfield Town from fifth-placed Milton Keynes Dons, meaning this final leg of the season is going to be incredibly tense.
Wrexham are well-placed, sitting just two points behind Mansfield and still occupying an automatic promotion spot.
There was a huge game on Thursday night though as Stockport County travelled to take on Salford City – and the result wasn’t too bad at all for Wrexham.

Wrexham supporters will have been giddy in the first half of this one as Salford City took a 2-0 lead.
Left back Luke Garbutt fired home a stunning long-range strike before a familiar face added number two for the hosts.
Curtis Tilt – yes, former Wrexham defender Curtis Tilt – found the net and appeared to have done Wrexham a huge favour.
Stockport rallied after the break though and found two goals through Ibou Touray and Isaac Olaofe, salvaging a 2-2 draw.
The result takes Stockport back above Wrexham and into second place, but only on goal difference.
Seeing Stockport lose would have been absolutely perfect for Wrexham, but at least seeing them drop points is a bonus.
This was one of two games in hand for Stockport and for them to only take a point is a positive.
The result keeps Stockport and Wrexham level on points and with a three-point gap to fourth-placed Crewe Alexandra.
County have now won just six of the their last 18 games and only one of their last six.
Dave Challinor’s side don’t seem to be in full flow right now and another draw on Thursday night should give Wrexham some confidence of finishing above County this season.
That will hopefully be enough for an automatic promotion spot, but Wrexham will ultimately have to take care of their own business – starting with Saturday’s clash with Tranmere Rovers.
