Wrexham equalled a 113-year-old club record during their 3-3 draw against Crewe Alexandra on Saturday.

The Red Dragons bounced back after their 5-0 thrashing from Stockport, with a spirited 3-3 draw at the Racecourse.

The game had many excellent moments. There was a Paul Mullin overhead kick as he scored his first of the season, Steven Fletcher’s first goal for the club and most importantly – plenty of top-class football.

But aside from all the big talking points, there was also a record equalled that stemmed back all the way to 1910.

Wrexham equal 113-year-old club record

As per the club’s website, it’s been revealed that the draw on Saturday equalled a record that dates all the way back to 1910!

‘Wrexham have only scored 3 goals after having a player sent off on one other occasion in our history.’

‘In March 1910 Percy Evans was the first Wrexham player to receive a red card in a Welsh Cup semi-final replay against Connah’s Quay at Sealand Road.’

‘The dismissal took place early in the second half, with our opponents a goal ahead, but we recovered to win 3-1.’
