There is little to no chance of Wrexham acquiring the signature of Kal Naismith, according to a source close to the club.
Wrexham have been linked to so many names already this summer. Granted, that was expected with the club obtaining promotion to League 2, but some of the rumours are just completely fabricated.
One that surfaced recently was the potential signing of Kal Naismith. The 31-year-old joined Bristol City from the newly Premier League-promoted Luton last summer.
He made 30 appearances in all competitions last season and was a vital part of the squad for The Robins. It’s no surprise that when Wrexham rumours emerged, sources close to the club were quick to shut them down.

Zero chance of Kal Naismith joining Wrexham
James Piercy, Sports Editor for Bristol Live took to Twitter to shut down any sort of hope that Naismith would be dropping down two leagues to join the Red Dragons.
The post reads, ‘Slightly reticent to get into the habit of doing this, so please delete my @ if you’re going to start bantering off in the replies, but (similar to Aaron Collins to Coventry) there’s absolutely nothing in Kal Naismith to Wrexham. Zero. Nada. Zilch.’
There wasn’t much solid proof it was ever on anyway, but with James having sources close to the club – we think this has all but ended the small possibility that he was going to move down to Wrexham.
The club are still yet to make their first signing of the transfer window. Phil Parkinson was hoping to bring in a former Manchester United man for free, but Stockport County beat them to his signature.
There is still a fair way to go in the transfer window, but with Wrexham heading out on their pre-season tour very shortly, it’s of the utmost importance to try and integrate new players into the squad as soon as possible.
