Wrexham played their final game of 2024/25 on Saturday when they clashed with Lincoln City.
The meeting was of little importance to the Red Dragons, who have already won promotion to the Championship.
Wrexham would make history vs Lincoln City no matter what happened on the day.
It was clear from before kick-off that Phil Parkinson did not view the tie as meaningless despite nothing being on the line.
He put out a very strong squad on the day, and when all was said and done, Wrexham beat Lincoln City 2-0.
Here are five things we learned from the Saturday afternoon kick-off on May 3.

Wrexham fans don’t understand Paul Mullin absence
The main talking point going into the game was Paul Mullin and Ollie Palmer’s future.
Parkinson confirmed recently that Mullin and Palmer will be involved in the club’s 2025 pre-season despite missing every league fixture since January 28.
However, both players were yet again left out of the matchday squad against Lincoln, with midfielder Elliot Lee starting up front.
Wrexham fans questioned Mullin’s absence, with some left puzzled at the 30-year-old being absent.
No room for sentiment from Phil Parkinson
As well as Mullin and Palmer being out again, it was surprising to see more players missing from the eleven and bench.
With nothing to play for, it could have been a chance for some fringe stars and youngsters like Harry Ashfield to get some valuable minutes under their belt.
However, Parkinson seemingly is not one for sentiment, picking the same eleven, barring Jay Rodriguez, that beat Charlton Athletic.

Why Jay Rodriguez missed Wrexham clash with Lincoln
Rodriguez has started every league fixture since his arrival alongside Sam Smith in January.
However, he was out of the eleven and the squad when the Red Dragons travelled to Lincoln.
The reason for this is that Rodriguez is injured and has been dealing with a problem since before Charlton.
Parkinson said this week: “Obviously, Jay Rodriguez had to play with injections in his foot because he damaged it against Blackpool.
“The doctor injected him again at half time to get through the game so we need to look at him, and there’s one or two others who’ve been playing with issues which we need to assess before the weekend.”
Arthur Okonkwo’s remarkable clean sheet record
Arthur Okonkwo went into the game sat on a very impressive 18 clean sheets.
It was the second most of any goalkeeper in League One behind only Birmingham City’s Ryan Allsop.
As a result, if the former Arsenal man managed another shutout against Lincoln, he would have matched Wrexham’s record for the most clean sheets in an EFL season, which was 19 back in 1974.
Elliot Lee’s Wrexham journey is impressive
Lee has been with Wrexham since 2022, signing from Luton Town when the club were still in the National League.
He is one of just a handful of players who were playing in the fifth tier who still gets regular minutes.
Lee remains a key figure and will end 2024/25 as the club’s top scorer in all competitions.
