Wrexham took a major step towards the Championship on Sunday afternoon, beating Blackpool 2-1 at Bloomfield Road.
There was a real sense of disappointment as Wrexham drew with Bristol Rovers on Friday.
This was a golden chance to pick up three points against a side who had lost six League One games in a row.
Wrexham were left frustrated, though, and had to respond as Phil Parkinson took his side to face Blackpool.
Wrexham beat the Tangerines 2-1 on Monday afternoon with both James McClean and Ollie Rathbone on the scoresheet.
Rob Apter’s goal wiped out Wrexham’s clean sheet late in the day, but didn’t stop the celebrations as Parkinson claimed all three points, as Rob McElhenney watched from the away end.

The race for second place in the League One table appeared to swing in Wycombe’s favour on Friday.
Not only did Wrexham drop points, but Wycombe also beat Bolton Wanderers 2-0 away from home to leapfrog Wrexham.
The situation has changed again though, with Wrexham boosted by Wycombe suffering a 4-0 hammering by Charlton Athletic.
With just two games to go, Wrexham sit two points ahead of Wycombe and with control of the promotion picture.
Parkinson spoke to Wrexham Match Day Live after the final whistle at Blackpool, and offered his thoughts on Wycombe’s defeat.
Parkinson admitted that he sensed Wycombe were losing at one point, but wasn’t too sure about the final score.
The Wrexham boss asked his son for an update and heard it was 4-0, leaving him pleased as the promotion momentum has shifted once again.
Parkinson hopes that his Wrexham side prove they are good enough to get the job done, with a third straight promotion now tantalisingly close.
“I sensed the score was going against Wycombe about two-thirds in, and then our fans got pretty quiet about it,” said Parkinson.
“I asked my son, George, at the end and he just said ‘4-0’, so yeah, I’m obviously pleased because the momentum changes again and we know what we’ve got to do, and let’s see if we’re good enough to do it,” he added.

This was a huge result for Wrexham, and the celebrations from supporters summed up what an important victory this was on the seaside.
Wrexham now face a tough challenge this weekend, though, as Charlton arrive at the STōK Cae Ras.
The Addicks aren’t mathematically out of the promotion race just yet and their win at Wycombe shows what a threat they can be this weekend.
Wycombe head to play-off chasing Leyton Orient this weekend, kicking off hours before Wrexham – meaning the clash with Charlton could be with promotion on the line.
Wycombe then host Stockport County on the final day as Wrexham go to Lincoln City, with both sets of fans no doubt prepared to see this race go to the very end.
