Wrexham and West Brom faced off in an early Championship kick-off on Saturday afternoon.
After a 2-1 defeat to Southampton in their last league fixture, Wrexham were eyeing their first win in the second tier for 43 years.
It was Wrexham’s first game in the division at the Racecourse Ground for over forty years.
Phil Parkinson made changes to the squad vs West Brom, surprisingly seeing Kieffer Moore return despite being injured last week.
Ollie Palmer was not included after scoring twice against Hull City in midweek.
James McClean was handed his first start in the league this term, with Liberato Cacace missing from the squad.

Rob Mac message during Wrexham vs West Brom
It was an open start to the campaign, but neither side created too many clear-cut chances during the early stages.
As mentioned, it was Wrexham’s first home league game since winning promotion against Charlton Athletic on April 26.
And co-owner Rob Mac was in attendance to watch his team from the stands.
Stadium changes mean the platform Rob and Ryan Reynolds previously stood on during their visits has been altered.
But taking to Instagram during the match, Mac posted a video of fans at the Racecourse with the caption, “Sounds like game day @wrexham_afc”

What has Rob Mac said about Wrexham in the Championship
On Wrexham winning promotion to the second tier, Mac said earlier this summer: “You can see that our body language was totally different from the first promotion. The two of us, and it was not rehearsed it was in the moment, someone was shooting us from behind and you see us both sort of like slouch as if we’re like releasing the demons and something was taken off of our shoulders or something.
“In this one it was the opposite, we just rose up and we were celebrating because it was just a joyous occasion from start to finish.”
After stepping up to the Championship, meanwhile, Mac played down consolidation for Wrexham this season.
But reports have said that the Dragons want to reach the Premier League by 2027, meaning promotion is not expected this term.
