Wrexham salvaged a win dramatically on Tuesday night, scoring in the 89th minute to beat Sutton United 2-1. Ryan Reynolds has reacted.
On Tuesday night the Wrexham players gave Ryan Reynolds the best birthday present possible, much better than what Ben Tozer had originally planned.
The win would probably have even bested the gift from Rob McElhenney and Chris Pratt.
The Wrexham owner turned 47 on Monday and on Tuesday would have been delighted to see another dramatic week at The Racecourse Ground.
Paul Mullin opened the scoring for the Red Dragons in the 14th minute.
Sutton then responded in the second half but as always, Wrexham made it an enthralling end, scoring in the 89th minute through Elliot Lee.
A 2-1 win for Wrexham which leaves them in third, just three points behind Notts County and five behind Stockport.
After the win, Ryan Reynolds reacted…

Ryan Reynolds reacts to dramatic Wrexham win
Following the game on X, the Hollywood actor sent a message to Wrexham fans.
He jokingly wrote: “Handing out heart attacks since 1864.”
This is in response to the Wrexham official account’s full-time post which emphasised the late strike.
The Deadpool star is right, in that Wrexham never do things the easy way, much like a Hollywood movie they tend to make every game as dramatic as possible.
What next for Wrexham
Next up for Phil Parkinson’s side is a massive game against last season’s National League nemesis, Notts County.
As of now, the game sees second against third, and with just three points the gap.
Wrexham have gone seven games unbeaten since the 5-0 defeat to Stockport.
This form has seen them emerge as playoff frontrunners in what could see back-to-back promotions.
Much to the delight of Reynolds and co-owner Rob McElhenney, despite the nervy game ending.
