Wrexham and Leicester City are set to face each other midweek in the Championship, and the most likely winner between the sides has been named.

The Red Dragons will head into this fixture with a chance to make history in the second tier, as they could win three consecutive away wins at this level for the first time ever.

Phil Parkinson will realise it will not be an easy task to leave the King Power on Tuesday night with a win, as the Foxes have been impressive at home recently, as they have kept four clean sheets in their last five games in front of their own fans.

Now, the Opta supercomputer has weighed in on who it believes will secure the win between the two clubs this week.

Opta predicts the winner of Wrexham vs Leicester City

Winning away from home in the Championship is no easy feat; however, Wrexham have managed two consecutive away wins for only the third time ever when they beat Norwich City.

The Foxes have had a fine start to their campaign in the second tier, as they currently occupy fifth in the division.

Now, Opta’s supercomputer has named the most likely winner from the upcoming meeting at the King Power.

Leicester are given a 57% chance of taking three points in front of their own fans on Tuesday.

Wrexham need to overcome the odds to secure the victory, including their history against the Foxes and their form in the Championship, as they are given a 20.7% chance of winning.

Wrexham’s record against Leicester City

The Red Dragons have only ever won one game against Leicester, with this coming in September 1976 when they secured a 1-0 victory in the League Cup.

Leicester secured the win on the only occasion that the two sides squared off against each other in the FA Cup, as they won 2-1 in January 1960.

The fixture on Tuesday night will be the first time that the clubs square off in 43 years, and it will be a chance for Wrexham to secure a first-ever win against the 2016 Premier League Champions in the league.

Marti Cifuentes will be in charge of this Foxes side as they look to make it seven games unbeaten against the Red Dragons in the league, with Leicester having won three and drawn three in their previous six fixtures.
