Wrexham can make a huge statement this weekend with another win over bitter rivals following their victory over Grimsby last time out.
Wrexham have finally found their gear in League Two and are on a great run of results. A 3-0 win over old rivals Grimsby Town at the weekend means the Dragons are now up to fourth in League Two, just three points behind leaders Gillingham.
It was a sluggish start to the season, losing on the opening day to MK Dons. After their opening five games, Wrexham had just one win. However, three wins on the spin means the club are right where they need to be – occupying one of the playoff spots and pushing for the automatic places.

Wrexham face old foes again at the weekend
It’s been a run of facing old foes, and that’s set to continue this weekend with a trip to Stockport at the weekend.
Wrexham and Stockport have a pretty intense rivalry, and the two clubs competed for the National League title back in 2011/2022. However, it was Stockport who won the title, as Wrexham lost an agonising playoff semi-final to Grimsby.
The Reds already sent a strong message to Grimsby with the emphatic win last weekend. It’d be another huge statement if they were to go to Stockport on Saturday and come away with all three points.

Summer signing Will Boyle thinks the atmosphere will be brilliant
Ahead of the game at Edgeley Park, new signing Will Boyle has previewed the clash.
“I heard about Grimsby the season before last and Stockport so there is a bit of needle with clubs along the way,” he said.
“The fans are well-voiced when it comes to them games so it will be enjoyable against Stockport.
“I am sure the atmosphere will be brilliant as it has been for every game since I have been here so I am looking forward to it.”
Phil Parkinson previews “terrific game” against Stockport
Manager Phil Parkinson also provided a look ahead to Saturday’s game, saying: “The game (against Grimsby) had a really good feel to it, the atmosphere was terrific and it was a real, professional performance.
“You enjoy that winning feeling but straight away this week there is a real focus on the next game, and getting the work right so we go into the Stockport game as sharp as we were on Saturday.
“It is going to be another terrific game and we go to Stockport in good spirits. We keep building and keep working, and look to keep improving.”
