Scarr was colossal in the Wrexham back line and certainly proved himself as a dependable option in the heart of Wrexham’s defence.

‘Give Dan Scarr the keys and all, man mountain,’ said another Wrexham fan.

‘Scarr absolutely superb from start to finish’, ‘Dan Scarr is magic ain’t he’ and ‘Big Dan Scarr has been monstrous today’ were just some of the other reactions from Wrexham supporters on X.

Scarr certainly caught the eye on Monday afternoon and Wrexham supporters certainly loved his performance in a massive victory.

Dan Scarr may have played himself into the team v Charlton Athletic

Scarr joined Wrexham from Plymouth Argyle last summer, adding competition in the heart of defence.

Parkinson has largely kept the faith with O’Connell, though, leaving Scarr to sit on the bench all too regularly.

Everybody must be ready to go whenever called upon and Scarr has certainly done that.

Wrexham take on Charlton Athletic in an enormous promotion clash this weekend, and Scarr has given Parkinson a real dilemma.

O’Connell is one of Parkinson’s most trusted performers and Wrexham are heading into the biggest game of the season, but Scarr was outstanding on Monday.

On Monday’s display, Scarr may well have played himself into the starting XI against Charlton, potentially leaving O’Connell on the bench once again.
