Wrexham and Cambridge United went head-to-head in a League One meeting on Tuesday and fans had a lot to say.
The Red Dragons have been on a superb run of form over the last few weeks, looking to cement their spot in the second automatic promotion place.
Wrexham beat Exeter City 2-0 last time out, ensuring they kept their three-point lead over Wycombe Wanderers.
But with Wycombe having played a game less this term, it was imperative Phil Parkinson’s men continued their winning streak on Tuesday evening.
Wrexham went into the meeting having won four of their last five League One fixtures, two of which were against the top five.
Cambridge United, on the other hand, are staring relegation in the face, kicking off on April 1 sat 23rd in the division.

Wrexham fans wanted Ryan Longman off for Ryan Barnett vs Cambridge United
Things got off to a great start for Wrexham when George Dobson fired the visitors into the lead early on.
However, some poor defending either side of the break meant Cambridge managed to earn themselves a 2-1 lead.
After going behind, Wrexham fans took to social media to take issue with Ryan Longman starting over Ryan Barnett.
One fan wrote: “Zero successful crosses in the first half. If Barney is fit, I genuinely do not understand why he’s not starting. Get him on the pitch!”
A second added: “Quite poor so far, midfield dropping too deep leaving Smith isolated (how often do we say that) and Rodriguez doing nothing, Fletcher needs to come on soon hopefully. Wing-backs, especially Longman, also dropping too deep. Need to get higher and pin there back 5 more.”
Another Wrexham supporter simply wrote in response to Barnett being better than Longman: “Easily.”
“Barney needs to come on soon, crosses have been —-,” a fifth added.
While another stated: “Barnett is so much better than Longman.”
Ryan Longman assisted for Wrexham vs Cambridge
However, the fans were left pretty red-faced regarding their assessment after Longman’s efforts midway through the second half.
The former Hull City man produced a lovely cross that saw Sam Smith get on the end to put Wrexham back on level terms.
Longman now has four assists in 15 games across all competitions for Wrexham this season – not a bad return considering his lack of starts in the league up until March.
Parkinson has not explained why he’s no longer starting Barnett but after another assist on Tuesday, it seems likely Longman will continue in his current role for the time being.
