Wrexham have received a boost after defender Max Cleworth was spotted training before Tuesday’s clash with Huddersfield Town.
Wrexham celebrated 160 years as a football club on Tuesday and fans were hoping to celebrate that anniversary with a victory.
Huddersfield Town visited the STōK Cae Ras and Huddersfield boss Michael Duff highlighted the impact of Wrexham fans before the game.
Wrexham endured a frustrating evening though as Huddersfield stood firm in a 0-0 draw.
Phil Parkinson’s side just didn’t quite click in the final third and managed just five shots compared to Huddersfield’s 10.
This is no great shame though; Huddersfield were relegated from the Championship last season and still have real quality at their disposal in League One.

Max Cleworth boost
Wrexham will move on from this game and look at the wider picture; four points from two games against Rotherham United and Huddersfield Town is a decent return.
Nobody would have complained with a draw at Rotherham and a win over Huddersfield, so the overall return is still strong.
Wrexham will now look ahead to a big away trip as Charlton Athletic – who have been pushing a ‘Welcome to London’ campaign – await.
Parkinson has suffered another injury blow ahead of that game with Steven Fletcher nursing a problem but there is some good news on the horizon.
Defender Max Cleworth was spotted jogging with the rest of the Wrexham squad ahead of Tuesday’s game, as captured by one Wrexham fan on X.
Cleworth picked up an injury at Leyton Orient earlier in October with an ankle problem striking him down.
Parkinson sounded upbeat about Cleworth’s progress last week and seeing him take part in some aspect of the pre-match warm-up – despite not being in the squad – is another step forward.
Cleworth return will give Parkinson a decision to make
Charlton may still come too soon for Cleworth but he is clearly getting closer to a return.
Dan Scarr has come into the side in Cleworth’s absence, featuring in the middle of the back three with Eoghan O’Connell moving to the right.
Both Scarr and O’Connell would probably rather play in the middle but Cleworth’s absence has sparked the change.
We can certainly imagine Cleworth walking straight back into the starting lineup when fit as he offers so much whilst supporting the attack up the right side too.
Cleworth is ideal for that right-sided role in Wrexham’s back three and Parkinson’s only decision may be whether to drop Scarr or O’Connell once Cleworth is fit to play.
