Ben Tozer has explained that Wrexham are loving life out of the National League, with League Two described as ‘bigger’ and ‘better’.
Wrexham club captain Ben Tozer has been speaking with talkSPORT about his feelings over playing in League Two.
He said: “I’ve been in the league before and there is a lot more quality that comes off the bench, there is a bit more tactical nous.
“The players are a lot fitter in this league, so last year we were blowing teams away with 10-15 minutes to go.
“The crowds are bigger. It’s an all round better league and we are enjoying it.”
Tozer had previously admitted it’s unique to play for Wrexham, and now it’s obvious he is enjoying the higher quality league.

Tozer on Wrexham’s global appeal
With such a high level of global interest, following the Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney arrivals, many assumed it wouldn’t be easy to retain.
Tozer disagrees: “The interest is still there, there are still a lot of American fans outside the ground daily – after training, before training.
“It’s all still pretty much there but it’s never going to be kept to those levels [when the owners arrived and delivered promotion back to the Football League].”
The relationship that Rob and Ryan have with the players is key to the good feeling at the Racecourse Ground.
Can only get bigger
Wrexham’s rise from non-league has been rapid, with back to back promotions seeming to be a possibility.
It is important that the club are capitalising on the interest as that just means more money which also means better players and facilities.
It wouldn’t be a surprise to see Wrexham in the Championship within three years.
Tozer could soon be finding himself in a bigger and better league than he’s already in.
