Wrexham remains keen to add further signings this summer but one of their targets looks set to stay in the Championship.
It has been a busy summer at Wrexham with several new arrivals in North Wales.
Wrexham owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have sanctioned five new signings to support manager Phil Parkinson.
The Red Dragons snapped up Leicester City defender Lewis Brunt and former Arsenal goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo earlier this summer. Former Charlton Athletic captain George Dobson, Callum Burton, and Aston Villa youngster Seabstian Revan are also set to play at the Racecourse this season.
After recent transfer talks with Reynolds and McElhenney, Parkinson remains keen to add further signings to his squad ahead of the League One campaign.
It has previously been reported that Wrexham were keen on singing Hull City Winger Ryan Longman. However, in the latest transfer update on Longman, it seems Wrexham may miss out on the 23-year-old.

Hull City vice-chairman Tan Kesler confident of keeping Wrexham target Ryan Longman
Wrexham is keen to add further quality to their squad with Longman fitting key criteria.
The club have previously sought players who have played in a higher division and can help ease the transition into League One.
The Hull City winger has had a good experience in the Championship and is relatively young, which offers good potential to grow in the coming years.
The winger spent last season on loan at Championship club Millwall, where he scored three goals and assisted on two occasions in 35 Championship appearances.
Despite uncertainty around his future, Hull City vice-chairman Tan Kesler remains confident that Longman will remain at the club.
Speaking to Hull Live, Tan Kesler said: “I’ve seen a lot of interest in the media and we’ve had some serious inquiries now as well. I don’t want to sell players, I want them to be better with us and go somewhere with us.
“Ryan is like one of the special players for me that he needs, I’d say now it’s his time to deliver and to be confident coming back to this team after a great season with Millwall. He should be feeling like a top Championship player and then deliver for us.”
In response to questions about Longman’s wishes, he added: “You’d have to ask him, but at the same time from my conversations with him, he feels like he’s welcomed in here, he is always welcome and he would like to stay.”

Ryan Longman should be less of a priority after Sebastian Revan Wrexham transfer
The Hull City star would be a good addition to Parkinson’s squad but there may be a greater desire to strengthen in other areas of the team.
Longman will most likely play as a left wing-back if he does join the Red Dragons this summer. With new summer signing Sebastian Revan joining recently, it would make sense for the former Hull City manager to focus on strengthening the rest of his squad.
Alongside Revan, Jacob Mendy and James McClean will also be competing for the starting role at left wing-back, meaning if Longman were to arrive at the Racecourse, it could lead to a departure or change in formation.
The Championship star can play in a different role with previous experience of playing as a striker and in the number 10 role, however, he is most comfortable when he is playing on the wings.
Wrexham may need to look at depth in attacking midfield before they consider further additions where they have good depth.
There is no doubt that Longman would provide quality in the Wrexham team but after the arrival of Revan, there is a greater priority to address other issues in the squad.
