Ryan Reynolds has been busy with success both at Wrexham and in his acting career with the latest Deadpool movie having just released.

The recent on-field success at Wrexham has been huge in the club’s journey, but Hollywood owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have been able to grow the Welsh club’s reputation on a global scale.

It was huge news when the owners took over at the Racecourse, with a big interest to see how the dynamic of celebrities owning a non-league club would work.

It is safe to say it has gone to plan so far, with the owners remaining keen to support manager Phil Parkinson in the coming League One campaign.

The docuseries ‘Welcome to Wrexham’ has had a huge impact on the club’s global fanbase with the US support growing year-on-year.

Reynolds has recently revealed that filming Deadpool is the only thing that can distract him from thinking about Wrexham.

However, the latest Deadpool movie hints that he can never truly switch off from thinking about the Red Dragons.

Reynolds is passionate about both his projects in Wrexham and Deadpool with them being his most recognisable successes in recent years.

The celebrity is now regularly questioned about Wrexham when he sits with the media for any of his other projects.

He recognises that Wrexham is a huge success so far and is focused on the future.

The Canadian actor is committed to the project in North Wales and the latest cameo appearance in his movie is a nod to his admiration for the club.

Screenrant has revealed that Wrexham will appear in the movie, the website states: “Among the army of Deadpool variants in the finale of Deadpool & Wolverine is Welshpool.

“The character looks the same as most other Deadpool variants, only with a giant Welsh flag painted across his chest.

“In the film, Welshpool is portrayed by Wrexham player Paul Mullin, who has made over 100 appearances for Reynolds’ club.”
