Don Goodman believes Wrexham have ‘difference makers’ in abundance
As per The Leader, EFL expert Don Goodman has been discussing Wrexham’s squad following their January transfer business and believes Phil Parkinson will reap the benefit of his new striker signings.
Goodman stated: “Sam Smith has had four prolific years in League One and I’d suggest he’s a good signing for Wrexham, who will only enhance what Phil Parkinson’s side have to offer.
“Wrexham were quite reserved in their summer spending but you’d imagine Jay Rodriguez will be licking his lips at the prospect of playing in League One.
“He’s never played in League One before but if they manage him properly to the point he remains fresh, he will be a difference-maker and find it easy to play at this level.
“You’re looking for difference-makers and that’s what Wrexham have in abundance.”
Parkinson to use squad in hectic fixture schedule for Wrexham
Parkinson will need to use the depth of his squad as Wrexham face a busy week with three fixtures inside six days in the league and EFL Trophy.
Wrexham travel to Mansfield before hosting Peterborough in the semi final of the EFL Trophy, then finally rounding off with a huge match against Bolton Wanderers at the Racecourse Ground.

Parkinson is set to rotate his team selection meaning that club legend Paul Mullin could be set for a return after missing the last five games.
The fixture congestion could also see the likes of Arthur Okonkwo and Andy Cannon given their chance in the team following recent impressive performances in the EFL Trophy.
