Wrexham fans have seen some wonderful goals over the years, but one former Red Dragons star just scored a peach of a goal and brought back vivid memories of his time at the club.
With Wrexham out of action this weekend and no game for Phil Parkinson’s side until Thursday’s trip to Shrewsbury, Red Dragons fans are starved for football right now.
Parkinson has confirmed he will scout upcoming opponents this weekend while his team are without a game due to postponements.
However, fans don’t need a trip to the Racecourse Ground or beyond to relive one brilliant goal from the past, as a former player just scored a near-identical goal for his new club.

Louis Moult celebrates ten-year anniversary of Wrexham goal with near-exact replica
Louis Moult, who left Wrexham way back in 2015, has turned out for a number of clubs since, but has made his Dundee United his new home since 2023.
In his latest appearance for the SPL side, Moult bagged a late winner to maintain Dundee United’s good form, with a stunning overhead kick in the 88th minute.
Speaking to BBC Sport after the game, Moult recalled similarities between his latest goal and a classic goal from the Wrexham history books he scored ten years ago, almost to the day.
He said: “Ten years ago, I think it was yesterday, that I scored an overhead kick at Stockport away for Wrexham, so it’s bizarre how things like that come along. Maybe that was in my mind when the ball dropped to me.
“I’m lucky that the first touch set me up, and then I connect with it and time just stood still. I turned round and it’s nestled in the corner.”
Moult’s winner against St. Mirren keeps Dundee United in third place in the SPL table, with 37 points from 23 games. They are now just four points behind second-placed Rangers, though their rivals do have two games in hand.

Wrexham connection is serving Dundee United well this season
Dundee United have a lot to thank Wrexham for this season. Not only has Louis Moult bagged three goals so far — though Wrexham can’t really take credit for his success — but the Scottish side also have the top scorer in the league in Sam Dalby.
The Wrexham outcast has scored ten goals this season, causing great debate as to whether Dalby should stay in Scotland or be recalled by Phil Parkinson to fire his parent club to glory.
Dalby himself insists he just wants to play football, and experts have suggested Parkinson would have to promise Dalby sufficient game time if he were to disturb that loan spell North of the border.
Dundee United will be hoping Wrexham don’t spoil their fun regardless, as they now have a great chance of qualifying for Europe this season thanks to their two former Wrexham attackers.
